SUMMARY:Mandurah Legends - Club Singles Championship
DESCRIPTION:Nominations close on the 28th of June to ensure we have sufficient time to work out and source the resources we need to run the event as we are expecting a significant increase on previous numbers. \nMust have played two of the 2024 Mandurah Club or championship days to qualify or have been provided an exemption by the committee inline with club rules. \nPlayers will be placed in graded divisions.  If a division is played on a single sheet the winner will be declared at the completion of the round robin games.  If it is necessary to split a division across two or more sheets\, then the round robin games will be followed by a knockout play-off system to determine the overall winner.  If there are two sheets in the division the top two from each sheet will go into a semi-final knockout\, if more than two sheets the games co-ordinator will determine how the knockout will work. \nEach player will be required to complete and hand-in a record of their round robin singles matches to be used in calculating 2025 averages.  The sheets will be filled in using the per dart system (i.e. the chalker\, in addition to normal scoring\, will record the number of darts each player throws).  Assistance will be provided on the day for those who have not previously used or are unsure on this system.

DESCRIPTION:We will be holding our first member’s discussion session at this event.  The meeting will commence just after 9am while the day’s events are being organised.  Please make an effort to sign-in a little earlier. \nA short overview of the meeting discussion items is below.  If you have items to be added to the discussion it is appreciated that you let us know beforehand so that we can be prepared with any information\, if required\, and let the other members know what will be raised. \nThere will be a facebook sign-up event again to help with catering so please make the effort to let us know if coming and if bringing new players or guests. \nBelow is an outline of items that the committee will present to members at next Sunday’s meeting.  We will provide more detail on the day so please keep all questions / views for the meeting.\n\nSocial Members\nThe club is reviewing the concept of a social membership.  As per the Constitution this would be available to players who do not want to participate in State or national events.  There are some considerations around managing this that the committee will present to the members.\n\nClub Championship Eligibility\nDiscussion with members to decide on whether eligibility requirements for club championships should be relaxed for FIFO workers.\n\nEnd of Year AGM & Wind-Up\nAs per some feedback we are opening for discussion the subject of timing for the end of year function (Saturday afternoon / evening or Sunday morning /lunch) – before making a final decision.\n\nEnd of Year Wind-Up\nCommittee putting forward a proposal to require a refundable deposit when taking numbers for end of year wind-up.\n
